Snow!

The snow accumulated quickly yesterday evening and overnight. The dogs were so excited and had to dig to find their toys in the backyard.

It's going to be awhile before the roads are clear again for riding out of the way of cars as you can see in this picture I took on our way home from the grocery store today. This is one of the main roads, so it is in much better shape than the side roads which are still snow covered. I would love to have a chance to snow bike, but there aren't any car free places that I know of around here.

I'm glad I was able to ride a bunch earlier in the week. I did 6 days of riding and 168.11 miles. It was good to make use of all three bikes this week, the old mtn bike doesn't get out of the barn much these days.

I'll take a day or two off and then get the trainer set up!

Proper winter! You definitely need to find somewhere to snow bike.

Definelty, anywhere off-road would be fine, I recommend a mountain bike! The beach, a school field, a park would all be fun. It's hard work so you hardly do any mileage so you don't need loads of conencting trails. But great fun!

I see lots of familiar things in you photos. East Bay Bike Path for example. A couple of photos look like Colt Park. If so, we are kind of neighbors. And also fellow NBW members.
I work with (Mr. Arrower) Mike Miller.

Hey Sarah, even the most addicted cyclist may have to train a little indoors now and then. As a fellow addict (I feel like I'm in an AA meeting) I know how hard that is. In fact, that's why I started my company Global Ride to create something to ride to while I train indoors. I started it 18 months ago filming in Hawaii, and we just released our first series of DVDs this week. Check us out; I think you'll find it a little easier to "suffer" inside with these. http://www.cyclingfusion.com
